Spotted elsewhere. 43kg that's two large suitcases. 2,800 cigars.

In an official statement, AADE confirmed that the passenger was immediately arrested and brought before the competent investigating magistrate, while the smuggled goods were seized.

Officially in airports: All closed and in good condition items that are confiscated are divided into categories and given, upon written request or by telephone, to various charitable institutions, social grocery stores, church committees and school associations. Through the above, they are forwarded to needy families. Upon delivery of the items to the above, a receipt of delivery-receipt is given which is signed by both a member of the Police and the representative-recipient of the charitable institution or other association, as mentioned above.
Many of the charitable institutions and church committees where the confiscated items are given, organize charity bazaars from time to time, the proceeds of which go to their coffers or for financial support of needy families or patients.
Opened and used items are destroyed.

In cases where land or air means of transport or construction machinery or containers are seized, as objects of smuggling or as means of transport of objects of smuggling, narcotics, immigrants without legal documents, weapons, explosives or for the commission of any criminal offence, the official body that imposed the seizure or the Service in which it serves, delivers them, together with a copy of the seizure report, to the competent Customs Authority (competent Customs or Public Material Management Directorate of the General Directorate of Customs and Excise of the Independent Authority of Public Revenue), which is designated as the exclusive custodian, of a delivery and receipt report to be drawn up.

In cases where land or air means of transport or construction machinery or containers are seized, as objects of smuggling or as means of transport of objects of smuggling, narcotics, immigrants without legal documents, weapons, explosives or for the commission of any criminal offense, the official body that imposed the seizure or the Service in which it serves, delivers them, together with a copy of the seizure report, to the competent Customs Authority (competent Customs or Public Material Management Directorate of the General Directorate of Customs and Excise of the Independent Authority of Public Revenue), which is designated as the exclusive custodian, of a delivery and receipt report to be drawn up. When vessels, maritime equipment, both as equipment on a vessel and as individual equipment, propulsion engines of any kind, both on a vessel and individually, are seized as objects of smuggling or as means of transport for objects of smuggling or narcotics or immigrants without legal documents or weapons or explosives or for the commission of any criminal offense in general, the competent Port Authority shall keep them and, if it is the seizing authority, shall forward a copy of the seizure report, together with the preliminary investigation data submitted to the competent Prosecutor, to the competent Customs Office and to the Public Material Management Directorate, for their management. b) The seized vessels, maritime equipment, both as equipment on a vessel and as individual equipment, propulsion engines of any kind, both on the vessel and individually, remain under the custody of the Port Authority, which guards them, until they are delivered to the buyer who will be selected from the bidding auctions or are made available to meet the needs of the State or are returned to the owner or an order is given for their destruction, in accordance with the provisions of this article.
There are many parameters, almost an A4 page because the objects are many.

Unofficially: Now regarding the cigars, strangely enough, after a few days all the Customs officers have one in their hand or if they don't smoke, one of their relatives accepts a cigar as a gift, guess where they found them. 😎
