    My Sick Stick!

But beyond that, the young guns need time to mature a bit - no less than one year is the general rule here . And in case you haven't heard, this is what so-called aficionados commonly refer to as the "sick period!"

Knewbee Alert: In my next post, we'll discuss what causes the dreaded "sick period." drunk2.gif

Names bag.gifBoy, Bag Boy, and as always...at your service.

Hey BB! Can't you just tell us now? Pleeeeeeeeze!

I've tried a few customs from a couple of different rollers and found quite varied results. A5 has already been said, it depends heavily on the leaf used and also, how recently they were rolled. I've been told that cigars fresh from the table should be smoked within a week or two and if not, should then be left for about a year to settle. I haven't tested this hypothesis yet tho, so don't know for sure.

Def something to keep an eye out for or to ask after though!

I had some Robustos rolled for me while in Vinales, they were cheap as chips and not a bad little smoke at all.

I had a note on Cuban torcedores that was posted here 2010-Apr-09, if you care to search.
That note has been expanded a bit (it's a work-in-progress) with photos of some of the rollers where I have them.

PM me your regular e-mail addy and I'll shoot you a copy.

Oh ok cool, so they are actually rolled there and then from the Master Roller they have with them? If so, sounds like a pretty neat idea!

The UK distributors H&F do an annual tour with one of many famous cuban rollers. A few of the lads on here managed to pop down and get some custom rolls ROTT. Keep an eye out for info on the tours as its not always well publicised.

    It's what's inside that counts!

hacker.gifHello senor butterbrickle....some of the best puros I've enjoyed have been freshly rolled custom sticks.

Of course, as with any puro, the quality of the puro depends on the quality of the leaf.

But what the hell do I know??? mad.gif
