thoughts on the h upmann connie 1.......

hey all,
just checked the lastest friends of habanos youtube review, the h upmann connie 1!!! the guys gave it a favourable review, 92-94 points, which is great for a young cigar (april 2009)!!! so far this cigar have evaded me, so i'm thinking of buying a box!!!! here's my query, i know that h upmanns are preferable with some age, what are the young connie 1's like (i'm talking 2008, 2009, 2010's)? anyone tried any so young?

tbh, what's selling me is rob & ken's talk of creaminess, milk chocolate, and guinness!!!

for what its worth Alex all the upmann 08s i have had have been very good not had the connies so can not help you there sorry,

it's the same thought here, all the magnum 46's & 50's i've had have been 2008's, they've been great!!! maybe i should just take a chance on the connies (like i said, i've not tried them yet)!!!

Connies are no different Alex. I smoked a box from late 2008 around six months ago and they were a great smoke.

For what it's worth Alex .... I really rate the Conni 1. Fabulous cigar. Great flavour and really well behaved .... if you know what I mean!

cheers for the advice guys........ to be honest, it came down to the FOH review (especially rob's guinness comparison and the scoring of 92 for such a young cigar) and the wise words from arf that convinced me!!! seems i've a choice between nov 2009 and feb 2010!!! reckon there's little difference really (4 months, hardly gonna alter the flavour profile that much), so i'm gonna go ahead and order!!! also, from what i've been reading, and from what i've experienced, the production from 2009 and 2010 has been great, so reckon i'm onto a winner!!!

#2 and Connie 1 are my two favorite Upmanns. As mentioned the 08s were great only have a few left. About to grab some newer ones also.
