  • Trinidad Reyes

    Hi all,

I hope everybody is doing well, I hope I've been quite active on the forum since I'm new, I visit a few times a day to see what's going on!

I've tried a few Cuban brands over the past few weeks, some were new to me. I know everybody is different but I must say that I quite like Punch, they seem quite fairly priced and I've gained new faith in Romeo y Julietta.

I've been reading that a Trinidad Reyes is a "must have" in your humi, what are your opinions of them? How would you personally describe them? I'm very eager to buy one of these in the next week or so.

What would you say is a fair price for a single too?

    Thanks a lot,

    Rick.

About as good a price as you'll get. Other than that you'll not beat our Sponsor!

A little pocket rocket of a cigar, all the taste and power but in a small package, if your pushed on time but want the real deal.... Took me a while to appreciate them certainly get a few rather than one if poss or don't be put off if your first dosnt meet the hype..... Better with a couple of years on them and a RASCC as an alternative

Any word on how the recent production (2010/11) is smoking? I'm looking into grabbing a box of these, but I usually buy young to save money and then age them myself if necessary.

I think that Trinidad is one of the few brands that often smoke well young. With the Reyes just jump in

(Ahem!) I beg to differ, senor zombie.gifmonkeyboy.

As I've posted elsewhere around these parts, I purchased a 2010 box of these sticks with 6 months on 'em and they were not good ...quite bad, actually. But once they had a year or so on 'em, they taste more like the older boxes don TJ keeps in his most excellent unit.

I've been smoking my Jan 11 box and although I see potential for improvement, they are the cigar I constantly find myself reaching for. Absolutely exquisite, a real treat.

Just coming to the end of my 2010 box of Reyes and only had 1 poor stick, they definately can be smoked young although the 2009 box i had previous were the better smoke in my humble opinion, not sure if that was an age issue though or just my taste changing as i have tried other sticks since

The Reyes is something I continually find, and am desperate to try, however every time I've been about to buy one, something else has always caught my eye! I think come pay day next week I might have to grab a few and see how they fair...I dont expect to be disappointed.
