Anyone tried these Trinnies...thinking of getting some to lay down....

Thought about the same thing a while ago and the general feeling on here was that they were just ok, better going for a Cohiba lancero or a Montecristo Especial or something, but then again they might be your cup of tea, each to their own and all that?

…mmm… the less interesting in the Trinidad line, IMHO. And pricey!

I've tried them a couple of times and really don't rate them. Confused profile, odd taste. For me a classic LE gone wrong (maduro throwing the profile out). I would be surprised if these ever come good, perhaps 5-10 years may settle them down but these are so far off the mark (to my pallet) that I did not purchase.

There is probably good reason why they are still freely available.

Order a single puffy and make your own mind up. This is what I did and very pleased I didn't buy a box.

Only had two of these and was not that impressed. However I am not a huge Trinidad fan. Apart from the Reyes, the others like the Robusto T and Robusto Extra don't really do it for me.

So having said that, my opinion is pretty pointless anyway!

One day, I swear to God I will be of some help to someone on here.

I've smoked one Puff, admittedly just the one, but I agree with what the others are saying. I expected something great from an EL, but to be honest it wasn't that special or good. Try one to satisfy your curiosity by all means. But, if it's a Lonsdale you're thinking of laying to age, the Siglo V might be a good bet over 3 to 5 years or so.

I've not tried the Ingenios LE but if it is anything like the Short Robusto LE then I'd give it a miss.

Now those Cohibas look way too tempting ...go on, you know you want to finish them now

It is absolutely nothing like the Short Robusto.

Glad to hear that, thanks Monkey, I may be tempted to try one then

                          Lovely cigar and nice year.

Must say Puff. Have you been practicing 'cos that's one hell of a good photograph!

Puff - what's your personal guidelines on how long before you'll crack a box open? Must be some serious planning ahead to be cracking '06 boxes of Monte 2's...

I tried one of the Trinni 07 EL's and prefer my small stock of Fundi's. If it's '07 EL's... I'm on the lookout for some RyJ Escudos!
