Some of you here know me quite well even though not been on much of late, I am asking for help from the US or Canadian contingent here.

In the US and Canada the HP Touchpad 16gb has just been dropped in price to $99 dollars as HP are dropping the WebOS product line. I would LOVE to get one, PLEASE. Can anybody source me a new one at the hugely reduced price. They are going fast and being in the UK I am a bit stuck.

Huge favour to ask but I am trying all avenues I can think of.

Well, I'll tell you what. You order one from one of the online places if you want (before you do get my address) and I'm arriving in Dublin on Sept. 24th and going to be in Blefast & other cities in Northern Ireland until the 28th. I've bought from Tiger Direct many times and I do have a Best Buy down the street from me if they are selling them for that in the stores. Let me know and I'll look around and you can PayPal me the money after I get it (Best Buy has a 30 day return policy, so I wouldn't loose anything if you didn't pay).

Hi T. Try this site http://t.co/y0RMayt. They seem to be sold out everywhere but Amazon but they're still selling at full price there. I'm not even sure that Amazon would ship electronics to the UK? Copyright reasons IIRC

Rick, huge thanks. All the online retailers appear out of stock and BestBuy having any is in question, rumours they just cleared the shelves of them. I will investigate this tiger direct thing now.

Rick, if you get a chance and it no real grief then worth having a look in BestBuy but drawing a blank online except for the earlier four hundred dollar price which is clearly not an option.

Hey Simon. Rode the MG last week to the winery and had some cigars but it's been way to hot this summer to think about taking it out. Last weekend was fantastic so off we went. Thanks for asking.

I'm on my way to Best Buy now but do not have my hopes up. Heading out for the day but will post here while at lunch in a few hours at most on what I found. If you find one get it, like I said I can always take it back if need be. I'll PM you my address.

Okay, no Best Buy in the U.S. has one. They sold out yesterday morning in 10 minutes. Tried Office Depot and Office Max and same thing. They said Best Buy in Canada might have some but dont ship to U.S.Should be some vert soon on ebay and craigslist but will be more than $99. If you want one for more let me know. Sorry.

Carphone Warehouse screwed me over regarding an iPad a while ago so they gave me a ?25 voucher to say sorry. I used that.
