Don't you find that cigarettes ruin the flavor profile of cigars for days after smoking them? I stopped smoking cigarettes years ago because I much prefer the taste of cigars and the thought of having to wait a few days after a cigarette to taste a cigar properly was enough for me to turn down cigarettes altogether. The toughest part is when you want to have a quick smoke, because there is no such thing as a 5 minute cigar. But that's also one of the things that makes cigars so much more enjoyable too.

I'm an ex cigarette smoker and when I fancy a quick smoke I now go for half a bowl of pipe tobacco or the occasional cuban mini. I find that smoking a pipe doesn't ruin your taste buds like cigarettes do, and it's a lot more interesting (loads of different baccies to choose from) and relaxing. But I still sometimes get tempted when my friends are smoking cigarettes around me, even though I've gone right off the fags...For me that's the time to spark up a partagas mini.

I did offer him a cigar. (I carry a couple of coronas in my gig bag for emergancies!) He declined gracefully and offered me some of his baccy!

The minis! I forgot about those things. I haven't bought any in so long. I should totally stock up on some for quickies. Thanks crusse! I feel like I've been away from here so long I've unlearned all I know about cigars.

No worries - I often used to give in to cigarette-shaped temptation until I discovered Cuban minis. They'll never replace a proper cigar, but you can't beat them if you're dying for a quick smoke. And you get to look way more sophisticated than all your cig smoking mates!

I'd never given a thought to the minis,I really ought to give those a try.My cigarette smoking is 95% confined to when I'm at work and when I get that blessed half hour break.If I could cut those out I'd be pretty much there I think.And as stated earlier I'm sure it would help with being able to pull a few more flavours out of my cigars.

I always keep a few packs of partagas minis in my humi ...They're nowhere near as complex as a regular partagas cigar, but you still get a little hit of cuban goodness. Good for short breaks or when you're down the pub with cigarette smoking friends.
