I like the saying, "If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch!"

I love a bit of light hearted banter as long as that is all it is! Bit of tongue in cheek humour gets you through the day!

...and I thinks there's plenty of it floating round this site! ...well i hope anyway!

You also seem to think this thread was just aimed at you...Sorry to piss on your pizza, but this was a general appeal to, as I said..."Gentlemen & Cocks"...it's up to you to choose your category!
I did not think the thread was aimed at me at all.
Ok, admitted newcomers to cigars, not new members to the forum, excuse me for not reading the post correctly.
But as you say imho, this is what the forum is here for....
Sometimes we can all forget that this is a community of people, not just a plain txt message-board. If one is new to a community (regardless of experience) it might be prudent to get to know the people before being overly critical.

Like any community we have our rules, cultures and generally accepted behaviours.

For example one wouldn't jump into a conversation in a pub with a bunch of guys one didn't know and express strong criticism without risking some sort of response.

Plain txt is a very poor communication method and it is very easy to take offence, therefore it is always sensible to err on the side of caution with criticism (as it will always come across far worse than intended to the recipient).

A few smiley's go a long way to showing no malice is intended

Everyone was a new member once
It always amazes me how tough/aggressive some folks act whilst hiding behind their keyboards. If anyone behaved like that in a pub situation they'd get their clock cleaned....

When we speak face to face, 70% of what we gather from who we are speaking too is by visual clues, I rest my case.

No offense intended me 'ol dropper. I use budget smokes as decoys to keep me hands away from the better stuff. Keeping them away from the humi makes that easier. I've JLP Conservas and (don't tell El Cat) some smaller NC in a Kilner I keep in clear view on my desk .... I find it helps!

thats a brilliant idea! i will give it a try when i get my budget sticks i had some petit cazadores on holiday this year and really enjoyed them for a short filler they are an ok smoke i not had the full size cazadores as i see a lot of complaints about them, ill put them on top of my rps (i have a real weak spot for rocky vintage and decade) and before you say i know i should not keep cubans next to dominican but it works for me
