Look, nobody cares how many forums folks belong to (for the record, I am a member of at least five), but the intent of discouraging the posting of emails was, among other things, to limit the level of recruiting that was taking place.

It is my understanding that soon after the email was posted, Alex joined the other forum. Doesn't take a Puro Aficionado to draw the same conclusion as senor serious.

Members get banned for a violating the rules, but rarely for a single violation. It's my experience that most of those banned over the years were either flagrant violators and continued to ignore warning; both private and public. Then there are those that keep posting with the sole purpose of causing trouble - and as I said before, it doesn't take a genius to figure out who those folks are or to "draw conclusions" that they are not operating within the spirit or best interests of the UKCF.

As far as the second part of you post, I'm not sure what you mean by an "honest response" to the original post, since the original post was about senor Alex considering a job offer.

What I meant by 'honest response' was, if the original poster would like, to post honestly if he had been asked to join another forum by any participant of this thread. I mean without coercion from either 'side' of this stuff.
A member, one of the more popular and helpful contributors here, was banned because somebody thinks he did something. Really?

Hey all, didnt realise I'd cause such a stir! i did email deano, but i must have the wrong address or something, cos i didnt hear back. i can confirm that Puff did not mention any other forum at all in our exchange about places in Scotland until i asked him after reading posts on this thread. made me chuckle a tad, hope you guys will share my laugh, i didnt find out about this other forum until reading posts by other people saying how Puff had told me about it!

Senor Perro, not sure where you are getting your information from, but i can also confirm that I havent joined any other UK forums at all! this is the one and only for me at the moment

just a last thought...could this shennanigans maybe have been avoided by a simple email to me?

Trust your Members more. Alex is telling the truth. He isn't on the CiA members list, nor has been. To be honest I think it unfair and shameful that Alex has become involved in something that he never looked for, and until a few posts back knew nothing about.
