I did not know that AT ALL!
Ive been buying cheap little cutters left and right. I've got like 6 of em now and two are basically "unusable"'

Yep!! All cutters/lighters/accessories have a lifetime guarantee. You just have to register the product when you get it. I have an Xi1 cutter...looks good, sharp blade, and free servicing from Xikar whenever it's needed!

Oh man, Xikar prices are pure extortion! Perhaps they are the best cutters on the market but such a rip off. That being said, you only have to bugger up 4 or 5 sticks before regretting never having invested in something reliable. The lifetime guarantee does make it an attractive investment. I might just have to go Xi1 route and pretend I never paid more than a tenner for it.
The baseball guy technique clearly needs more work before pursuing it.

I feel like a lot of cigar accessories are pure extortion!! I look at it this way...for the cost of a couple decent cigars, a cutter that isn't going to ruin the rest of your sticks is probably worth it!

Also the Xi3, whilst not as aesthetic as the Xi1, uses the exact same blades and will give the exact same cut at a much lower price.

I bought a Palio Orchant Seleccion cutter when it was on offer on cgars for ?19.99. Will admit it's not the absolute cleanest cut, but the only cleaner ones are cutters that last like five cigars. This Palio has never let me down and has lost none of it's sharpness. Shame the regular price is over ?30, but I bet you can find one going for a better price somewhere.

Who needs Xikar 1, 2 or 3 when you've got Tesco double edge razor blades? Yeah

I opted for cutting it before having a drink.

Now, there is this matter of punch diameters that could do with addressing. There are punches out there from ?6 to ?14 - which size is best for, say, 48-52 gauge sticks?
