Yeah tried multiple inputs, radio/cd/tape/aux and tried multiple speakers on multiple outputs with original cable and new stuff. It was a gradual decrease not sure exactly but it's suspected it started after one New Year's Eve party with heavy usage hahaOriginally posted by monkey66 View PostOK so it could be Power amps, transistors, regulators, dry joints, all sorts. Did it just go dead one day or was there an intermittent stage. Probably a stupid question but have you swapped the inputs (left / right) to ensure it is not the source and have you swapped the speaker outputs to ensure it is not the speakers / cables?
Lost all treble initially if I remember rightly and clarity. Mid and sub where still there.
Cheers dude I'll have a read of that laterOriginally posted by SmokeyDave View PostNo luck this end finding who I was after but I have found this link :

Dude, you should get that kit out and playing.Originally posted by SmokeyDave View Posthmmm this thread has reminded me that up in my loft I have my component hifi stashed away, not used for 12+ years, a Quad 405/2 amp and 34 pre-amp with a Rega Planar 3 turntable and two Teac cassette decks.
From memory I looked at selling them years ago, a specialist hifi shop in Leicester at the time recommended an independent dealer in old kit who also serviced stuff. I'll have a dig around.
