Thanks for all the good wishes. October is flying by so there's only two more weekends after this one. I'm finding that I'm eating more chocolate than usual!

I think it is a great idea. It can also give people a very small understanding at what being sober is. Going for nights out, family reunions, birthdays, christenings...Hell, any event involves alcohol. I am a recovering alcoholic amongst others and have just crossed the four years clean and sober on the 2nd of October. You have to change everything when you go sober. You fight daily...and I do mean daily your addictions. As time goes by, I have longer periods where I forget...Those periods are freedom. Do I still go on nights out? Of course I do. Do I have a limit where I have heard the same story 3 times...Yes I do. If at any point I feel uncomfortable, I walk away. I used to think this was a weakness, but it is not. It is a strength to know when enough is enough. I do have some great fun the following day reminding people of their achievements...LOL

Many of my friends are doing it and it is for a great cause. If anyone has been unlucky enough to need Macmillian, you will know what great work they do.
