The ?60 wharfedales are pretty decent TBH. They Will give similar performance to stuff more like ?120 in RRP.

Happy days if they are pairing it with Tannoy or Q Acoustics.... I have only ever seen Denon mini Systems come with own brand speakers that leave quite a bit to be desired.

Is that amp the same as the one you linked yesterday?

This is the richer sounds deal page, some tasty looking deals actually

No, the one I linked yesterday is not a class D amp and is slightly bigger. This Muse is a new one to me, looks like a more powerful upgrade to a small amp I have.

Edit: just checked and it's the wrong link.... Will change it now.

            That's better! [emoji4]

            Could integrate that quick nicely!

Was looking at pairing that up with something like these http://www.richersounds.com/product/...minx-min11-blk

But would need a sub and it's getting expensive again so may as well get the AE's haha

I also think the 2010i and the tannoys and warfdales as good as they are are probably a bit big for a desk so again back to something like the AE's

Although can get a decent setup for good money by the looks of it if you want a hi fi [emoji4]

Yeah, with the Minx you will definitely need a sub. But the hard thing will be getting a sub that is happy to roll off that high.

They go down to 120hz and most subs roll off best at 80hz which will leave a gap.

                Agreed,

This one covers the spectrum but really not sure how good it'll be.

A 50w active Sub in a plastic box is not going down to 35hz and sound all too happy. Try and get the same under ?100 speaker to respond fast enough to bounce back up to 160hz and it's going to sound like ass.

Perhaps if the cone was some super modern material and the box was much much much more rigid.

Funny how Monitor Audio's 200w Wooden boxed and much larger sub has a much narrower frequency response. I know who's statistics im likely to follow.

my favourite part is it's 100w of PASSIVE power. LMAO!

Edit: It's quite amazing to me that they can get a 6" cone to drop to 35hz and put it out for that price ...... But only with the right Amplifier!........ Seriously WTF! Who on Earth is in the market for a ?15 sub and gives a toss about Audio clipping. It's just an excuse as to why their product won't get down to 35hz.

Edit edit: Sadly some kid is going to buy that thing and put it on his HiFi rack, then think it's cool when it rattles about, it will obviously be due to it's immense power.... And not because it's too light to be a paper weight.

The really worrying thing is that such a great company would put their name on such a thing.
