I generally use signed for and first class can take up to 7 days - Mainly cos they're FUCKERS with a monopoly an effective monopoly and don't give a shit.

RM may be pissing you off but the alternatives are often worse. Under no circumstances use Yodel! They don't have collection depot's and they often tell you they are coming at a certain time and never turn up! I once took a total of five days off work to take delivery of a mountain bike! I escalated my complaint to the highest level and they assured me that it would be delivered the next day, I stayed home for a sixth day and it never came. I then started again with the complaint with same results. In the end the parcel went out for delivery 12 times over the space of 5 weeks, I did finally get the bike but I lost a total of seven days income at the cost of ?200 per day for a parcel which was worth ?300! All because they don't have a collection depot. Also my house was at the end of the route so the driver would always knock off before the truck got to me. Despite many complaints the made no effort to prioritise my delivery.
I would never use them again or any other firm that aren't big enough to have collection depot's.
Summary:
Royal Mail are annoying sometimes but they are reliable in the grand scheme of things, I use them and no one else now.

They all went 1st class signed for that's what makes me mad some arrive some don't one that went to adam last week took 10 days omg

I heard a little story on the radio about Yodel. A guy bought one of the ceramic remembrance poppies and couldn't work out how it had been delivered as the gates to his property had been locked. He played back his CCTV and saw the the delivery man throw the parcel over the gates, and about 20 feet to the porch where it landed Fortunately no damage was sustained, but wtf ay

Yeah I seen the video on that. Its pretty shit. I had an argument with UPS. At home be it in bed as been on night shift. I tape a notice up at the bottom of the stairs. Please do not leave sorry we missed you tickets here. You have not missed me I am in. Upstairs and take a right. Thank you. Get up go down stairs there is a sorry we missed you note. Phone up and ask why. Guy says there was no buzzers for him to get in the door. I say aye that's cause there is no fucking lock on it either!

I'll be honest and say I didn't sign for anything, was shoved through my letterbox.

All my signed for parcels never get signed. Would be interested to see what it say in the RM tracker.
