In fact, Allgates in Wigan can do parties of 15-36 at ?12 per head and that includes having the entire bar to yourselves at the end to see how much damage you can do to your liver!

Hmm interesting, the Fishermans Retreat is also in Ramsbottom and it's one of the best Whisky spots on earth. Could be a great day out!

Seeing as it's in my doorstep it would be rude to say no.

I went to Theakstons brewery a couple of years back and that was a good trip! Full of winding stair cases and low hanging beams [emoji4]

Wow you don't usually get pint of brew dog for a fiver...what did you think to the beer? I've tried a couple and they were pleasant but it does feel more style/image than quality ale.

I agree. They are style over substence and their beer is nothing special imo

I have tried it, and yes it is like treacle but I liked it. Something a bit different. Sampled quite a few of their offerings in Birmingham.

I should get out and try more of their stuff, sounds like it divides opinion. I know one thing for sure, they market well and appear to be thriving.
