The Sweeny is bloody awesome and deserves another watch by me!
I thought the bloke who played Carter he's a singer I think was really good , I only watched it this evening and could watch it again ..
Good no nonsense film hail Mr Winstone
I did a movie double today thanks to my Cineworld Unlimited card - I saw Theory of Everything - good film, heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time - very much a British 'stiff' upper lip film with Eddie Redmayne in my opinion definitely earning his Oscar nomination. I also went and saw Whiplash - very different time of film - absolutely mesmerising in places, and funny in others - other times you couldn't look away even though the atmosphere was so claustrophobic and uncomfortable. Out of the two, this one was probably the best out of the two I watched - well worth a watch! Shameless plug I know - but I wrote a blogpost on Whiplash so if you go to nutleyone.co.uk you'll find a bit more information!
Starred Up - 8/10 like a modern day version of Scum.
Night at the Museum 3 - 6/10. Some funny moments but nothing special.
Taken 3 - 7/10. Soooo much better than 2.
Just watched 'Horns' with Daniel Radcliffe based on the book by Joe Hill. It was actually better than the book which I felt lost its way a couple of times.
Just watched '300 - Rise of an Empire'. Now, I think 300 is an amazingly filmed movie and quite well put together but not exactly a classic. This is not a good film in any way, shape or form. I mean I would watch Eva Green in pretty much anything but even she couldn't save this piece of crap.
Films I'm hoping to watch (not been to the cinema since my second Guardians of the Galaxy viewing) are Ex Machina, Foxcatcher and probably Jupiter Ascendant. The latter looks like trash but hopefully fun trash. I'm not sure Sean Bean will make it to the end, though. He's got form.
