Went to watch Blade Runner in the pictures the other night, had a limited release in the cinemas as 'the final cut'. One if my favourite films, saw it first as a kid on video so it was great to see it as it was made to be seen. Was superb and amazing how much more immersive it was in the cinema. It still holds its own as a futuristic sci fi even though its 33 years old.

I rember seeing that advertised and quite fancied it. shame it was one night only. Lucky man joss

Just watched 'Inglourious Basterds', that's two hours of my life wasted, what a pile of crap.

That film is fecking terrible

Single handedly, As in all American made war films.

I remember a Steptoe and son episode. They are flying on a plane. Cant remember where to. Somehow get into an argument with a yank about the wars. He refers to them as the 1916-1918 war and the 1943-1945 war.

Hollywood seem to forget that half the war had already been fought by the time they joined!!!!

Following a book recommendation, I was on Amazon and stumbled across the DVD 'Nude Cigar Smoking'

Same here, I've just watched 'Cross of Iron' and its hard to believe it is 37 years old. James Coburn was excellent as Sgt Steiner.

Fury is definitely worth a watch but it's no saving Private Ryan in my opinion.

Not strictly a film, but 'band of brothers' is epic in the truest sense of the word. Very impressive. 'The pacific' is also worth a watch but not as good.
