  • 'Full metal jacket' is also very good, but not entirely about war.

Agreed as well, Fury is a great movie that somehow went below the radar for most people, even though it had some celebrity actors.

      • Probably the best film I have seen in the last month or two is 'under the skin'.
It's a bit of a love it or hate or film though.

I thought this was okay for a low budget independent movie. They managed to get some authentic vehicles on that low budget and on my sound system the small arms fire sounded realistic. You could certainly tell the difference between an MG34 and a Bren gun. The story was predictable but then it was never going to be oscar material, a commando unit having to work under an American Ranger Captain get dropped behind enemy lines but it all goes tits up. Worth a watch if you're into war movies.

            • Just watched 'Interstellar' and boy is it long at 2:45. I nearly gave up on it and I still think the ending was bloody stupid but it was a good film overall.

              • Have to agree like most films these days I find, its like the writer gets bored and just gives up on a ending

Watching it now, was just thinking the very same thing. SPR was groundbreaking, nothing particularly unique about Fury so it seems a bit clich?d.

Great film but it is essential that the viewer has an open mind.

I thought he was the terminator? Who else could get blown through a window and fall 50ft onto a car and survive?
