It's not too much of a problem presenting rigs at the moment. It is very weedy but there are holes in it.
my spare rod is set up with a naked chod though.

          • I make the same mistake every time Simon. I never learn.

Managed to land another of the lake's residents at two o clock this morning. 25lb 10oz Ghostie.

            • Great fishing Johnny I was always a Salmon angler since a child probably because my dad was, then when I left home I took to Sea angling...But of late course angling has been in the back if my mind...Your photos have definitely gave me the urge!

The river are now back open for general course fishing today too.

                      • I agree. I have just moved house and my front door is now less than 100yards to the sea! Gonna use the opportunity to really get to know the coastline and "understand" how it fishes.

                          • I managed to get out for a 48 hour session for the first time in a couple of months. Even managed to bag a few too.
It felt really good to be back on the bank.

                            • Cracking fish n pix Johnny!!!

I've just gotten back into my sea fishing in a big way! Invested in a couple of new Daiwa reels and rod. Pleased as punch with me new gear. Was at Newhaven the other week. Caught gurnard, Makerel, baby bass, garfish, shad. Planning another trip out for the end of this month in hunt if the elusive Sea bass! And a few codling wouldn't go amiss! Bought a few bass stick lures to try out!

My fishing pal has his heart set on a little boat
