  • The Fall - could have quite happily turned it off mid-way through S2. By the end of S3 I wish I had have done which is a shame as it started so well but has some mega plot-holes.

The Mandalorian - started this Friday and it’s likely I’ll be finished within the next 72-hours. So far it is the absolute DB’s with loads of nods to the original trilogy.

The Queens Gambit - watched one episode tonight between the snooker final sessions and looks v.good. Will watch this with the other-half during the week.

        • Gotta say I enjoyed queens gambit too, play a lot on chess.com & have always loved the game, not that I’m particularly good!

Also the mandolorian - rewatched series 1 ahead of the 2nd series starting. All this just after watching the clone wars entire things over a few weeks, epic. Favreau makes great shows, good in Chef & the chef show is fun too. Boy do I watch a lot of tv!

          • Just finished Queens Gambit too. Stylishly done; stunning leading lady; not into chess, but the chess stuff worked for me. Not 'serious drama', but entertaining. I think it was wise to keep it to six episodes. Worth watching.

            • I found Queens Gambit enjoyable well made entertainment, but not gripping. Worth watching though.

              • The Spy on Netflix is well worth a watch, good story and shows Sasha Baron Cohen to be a very good serious character actor. Also have a look at the Chicago 7

                • Dark - Netflix

I posted this already in the Movie thread as I didn't see this was open too!

For some people this will be one of the best things you've seen in some time... Very good.

I must give this another try - I watched the first two episodes and thought it was a load of tosh!

                    • So saw the finale to the Undoing yesterday. It was gripping but the characters did stupid things in service of the twisty plot which is always a shame, like Hugh keeping the murder weapon on one of his family's premises, which the police also conveniently failed to search, and Hugh volunteering the real story of his estrangement from his parents which set alarm bells ringing for Nicole when the cover story he had already established was working fine, and then the oh so brilliant lawyer who decides to put Nicole on the stand when there is nothing to be gained by a wife who is by his side everyday in court saying she doesn't think her husband is guilty and forgetting the prosecution gets a chance to then cross examine her, which leads to the truth coming out in court.

It didn't do much for me either to start with.. Try and stick with it and hopefully it works for you too

Very very weird sci-fi. Curious to see how the story unfolds...

An amazing show. Absolutely loved it.
You're right about Moira.... She's amazing especially her bizarre methods of pronunciation 😄😄😄😄

I'm half way through S2 and it keeps getting better

GHOSTS is another gem at the moment. The crew that made Horrible Histories let loose on a show that adults can enjoy too. A total pleasure to watch. Sweet and hilarious
