  • On the topic of cars...

I have seen members mentioning that they smoke in their cars. I would love to do this but would rather not have the lingering smell that I am sure would stay.

Does anybody have any advice on smoking in cars and how to mitigate or minimise the smell?

    Thanks,
    N

Near side front and both back windows open slightly to create some flow. Three days of mustiness still. I have thought about one of those 12v air purifiers, but not pulled the trigger yet though.

Edit; the Heaven Fresh unit was the one I narrowed it down to.

No chance of me smoking in the car. My wife can smell smoke in there even when I've driven it after smoking!

I smoke in my car, when moving have the near side front about an inch and it pulls most of the visible smoke through it even when exhaling. If I stop the car fills up though so traffic is a bad idea, when that happens I open both front to flush it all out and get the air circulating as quick as I can when I start moving

I smoked a cigar in my car once & it lingered for weeks. I didn't run the a/c for fear of that smelling every time it went on afterwards.

I smoke indoors at home occasionally as the smell seems to disperse quicker. Although with a baby that has had to cease.

I love smoking in my car - always have done.

I generally have the window open and leave the roof off in the garage...now the garage smells of cigar smoke :-)

I think I'd have more chance of convincing my wife to let me smoke indoors than in the car

I don't smoke in my car. I think the space is to confined for comfort and sooner or later I'll want to sell or exchange it anyway, so why do anything to reduce it's perceived value.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

Don't smoke in my car never have, helped out my brother inlaw a few years ago valet some cars because his helper was on holiday
you can tell people that smoke in their cars by the smell and the interior being a slight beige colour
and when spraying to clean the interior the shit that drips down would make you think twice before smoking in the car.
