Here's another example and that's me done .

Iona Heaton, 44, from Blackburn, Lancashire, is hoping to add to her burgeoning family with a baby girl and says she will demand fertility treatment on the NHS if she has any problems conceiving.

I think it's probably no secret that I'm not a fan of the Daily Mail or other papers that print in large letters. Why? This article is actually a good example. It's picking out single cases that are usually extreme and aiming at only one thing, to incite anger and at worst hatred amongst it's readers. In the end, when you talk about benefits, the idea is to support those who need it. I am sure nobody argues with that. Some will exploit it, as it will always be with every system.

But what difference does it do to our life that this or that person has this or that many children? If you cut their welfare tomorrow, do you think we would get a penny of that? Because that's not how it works. Imagine we didn't invade Iraq illegally, we would have saved about ?20 billion. Do you think that money would have gone to anybody in need? Does any government ever increase social welfare? Do they ever increase spending on schools and kindergartens? On parks and social workers?

If someone gets social welfare, is gay, is a junky or an office worker doesn't make any real difference to any of our lives. Yet we keep getting upset about single incidents and then apply them to larger parts of society. That way everybody can choose to have his own personal prejudice confirmed. Because we all love to be confirmed in our opinion. That's why you read the Daily Mail and I read the Guardian. I tell myself the Guardian is more thorough and objective in it's journalism but in the end I read it because they match my world view more.

Sorry this got a bit long. Just wanted to say, don't get taken away by single cases. Don't always look for the worst, instead be happy that you live in a country that can afford a social system, so that if things go south for you some day, you'll have a safety net. At the same time, hope you will never have to. Because as much as everybody gets upset about these people, nobody would really want to swop with them.
