  • 50th Birthday gift

So, my brother turns 50 in January and am thinking of some age related gifts, amunst a 50 year old bottle of port/whisky I thought about pairing up a cigar from 1966.

where could one possibly get a cigar from 1966?

Good shout Wolfie and would likely have a lot more flavour than a stick that old

I've got one here for my 50th Birthday too. Slightly off with the years though. I was born in '67.
                Near enough though.

It would be really hard to date a cigar that old Ben. As you know, there were no box codes at that time. H&F did write the date they cleared the bond in pencil on the bottom of certain brands (RyJ, Monte and Ramon Allones IIRC) so you might get mega-lucky and track some down that way....chances are slim though but good luck

I think Wolfie's idea is sound.....pretty pricey though: Mitch has them for an eye-watering ?85 each https://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/cohiba-19...e-p-11004.html

Rachel got me a Cohiba 1966 a couple years ago for our anniversary. I don't know when to smoke it TBH. Will they get better or have they peaked?

I had a look at the cohiba as well for my 50th next year, but I think I won't be able to justify the cost. So I have a davidoff grand cru no1 my workmate bought for me in Spain this year that I think will do the trick.
