Starting a three day event at the Stag. Pint of blonde witch. Excellent.

    Cheers

Blonde Witch is the big drink around here. Look out for ales by Coach Houses, especially Gunpowder Mild.

Oh and Hawkshead and Coniston breweries too.

    Have a great time!

Up on the kirkstone pass. In the inn. Great ale. Fog rolling in. Don't stray off the path?

Ah... You were there on a busy evening then....!

its th highest pub in the lakes isnt it? Out the front door look right... The views into the valleys are just like you see kids draw hills.... One folding into another, into another, with a windy road inbetween them all. Cracking photo opp if the fog lifts....

A pint of blue bird would do you well up there too... A decent session beer! If you get a chance pop by the wild boar inn, in crook, on the crook road... It has its own smoke house, and brews 3 or 4 beers on the premises. Great food, and stunning collection of malts too.

                    Very atmospheric..!

Not the kind of pub you'd want to stumble out of on a dark night.. after having recently watched 'An American werewolf in London'.

Great tip towards the wild boar. Great ale, open fires, food.

If you can get there the Black Bull in Coniston is a fantastic ale pub, they brew Bluebird and many other beers on the premises.

Visited there last year. Excellent. Heading to the Boar for dinner and another ale.

Stayed at the laurel BB. Windermere, nice people. Basic but enough.

the boar is a point of pilgrimage for us .... my inlaws live literally 5 mins back towards the lake... it makes visiting them more palatable!!!
