  • Sore tongue

Been off the smokes for a bit because when I smoked one which had a horrid burn issue and nasty taste I think it affected my tongue.
Felt like I had burnt it on a hot drink.
Tongue still not right with sore spots either side and a feeling of burnt on the top.
    Mouthwash stings.

    Anyone had similar ?

I?ve had this too. Not nice is it. Some cigars seem to be acidic or something. Try medicated mouthwash as regular will just inflame it. Nothing for it but rest I think.

Sounds like tongue bite, usually only get that with a pipe. Caused by hot smoke irritating the mouth. Best to leave off for a few days until its healed up and then smoke slower. Try a mouthgel called gengigel, very good stuff.

It can also be caused by punching cigars, I've done it, but it was everyday for a fortnight on holiday!

            Back again with sore tongue.
            This is really annoying.
Definitely mouth bite. I'm suspecting I'm allergic to something in the aromatic cigars.

If I have to stick with light Cubans I'm going to give up.

Do you find it happens more in winter? Do you smoke outdoors? Might be you are smoking quicker because of the cold.

Out doors or in car to work.
Yes may be quicker but I don't think so. Most times I struggle to keep the buggers alight

Suggest warm salt water garlges & avoid smoking again until your tongue feels normal. then start with very light short smokes , draw gently, accompany with cold drinks & see how you go.
