  • What watch to wear whilst smoking

This brand must have been discussed here before my time. Not sure if cool or gauche.

    Anyone else like watches?

I would like to like watches more than I could possibly afford to is where I?m up to in life anyway!

They?re definitely a bit tacky for me, decent made watches with solid movements and some interesting designs but they won?t hold their value in the slightest. Plus it?s a Swiss made watch I wouldn?t particular want it to allude to the quality you?d get in Havana instead!

If you're smoking a ?15 stick a day you could afford a rolex a year instead ;-) And you can get a great watch for a grand, which is only 66 cigars.

I?m definitely not smoking that much though! Everything I like tends to be a fair chunk over that or well under for that matter.

Got a decent watch but there?s a big difference between one or two and a collection!

Reminds me of the old joke.

Lady: Do you smoke?Guy: Yes I do. Lady: How many packs a day?Guy: 3 packs.Lady: How much per pack?Guy: ?10.00 per pack.Lady: And how long have you been smoking? Guy: 15 yearsLady: So 1 pack is ?10.00 and you have been smoking 3 packs a day which puts your spending per month at ?900. In 1 year, it would have been ?10,800. Correct?Guy: Correct.Lady: If 1 year you spend ?10,800, not accounting for inflation, the past 15 years puts your spending total at ?162,000. Correct?Guy: Correct.Lady: Do you know if you hadn't smoke, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 15 years, you could have by now bought a Ferrari?Guy: Oh. Do you smoke?Lady: No.Guy: Then where's your fucking Ferrari?

I like watches and wish i could afford some nicer ones. The best i have is a Longinnes but only gold plated and only worn at weddings and such. my go to is the samsung gear s3, thats never off my wrist.

Ive a few nice (looking) watches from the looky looky men in the Canaries. love haggling when ive had a few, never spent more than 5 euros though - seen gullible tourists pay 50+ lol

my 1st was a rolex that (to me) looked the part, but side by side with my uncles real deal - ffs what was i thinking!

I'm sure the answer to the question in the heading is that a gentleman has no need of a watch when smoking - it will take as long as it takes.

Tag heuer f1. Love the longines conquest vhp in blue ?730 and looks almost identical to a Tudor black bay costing 2100 ish and a Rolex oyster perpetual at over 4k.
