  • My crypto is doing fine just now.....4 years of HODLing has paid off finally

    • Short term on crypto looks likely to be shaky long term as long as it’s a coin with real world use I wouldn’t be so worried. It’s definitely a longer term game now though

      • Ya. People talking about how crypto had no basis for value. Well actually ... Neither does gold.

It doesn't but it's value survives on general agreement which crypto can but only ever for a very limited number of coins. It is technology which is the interesting part though and means incredibly high likelihood that every current coin will become worthless but to be replaced by who knows what now!

And there is the bigger question what is value anyway?!

Maybe we talk about credit instead.

            • Just sold 90% of my SNG this morning, just going down & whilst it might improve over the long run, rather be out & get back in further down the line. Took a loss of £200 but didn't want to get stuck in with a bigger loss when I am well down on GGP (which I am confident will bounce back) & FUM (which I am not so sure about). On the brighter side, closed my Premium Bonds account today made £425 at 1.66%, p.a. which is better than the quote 1%; ready to buy a UK Car in August. Kept it in for the next pay out, just in case I finally win more than £25!

              • Poor week but bought another x340 shares in BOO as they dropped to under £3.00.

They’re £3.12 today and I’m hoping a decent summer will see good results.

SAE have all sorts of issues at the moment but thankfully got out of most of them last year and just left a few £100 in there.

                  • Made more money on selling cigars yesterday, sold 50 Podorosos in two collectors jars, only available from Ghent & Knokke (Dominique recent buyer of Cgars Ltd), in 2013. Managed a respectable 33% profit; which will be going to pay my tax bill for bringing cigars back to the UK on our move. My first purchase made with selling in mind. Was expecting to keep them 10yrs but not worth bringing them back to UK, especially when sold directly, with no worries of posting ect. Hope to do as well with my other buy to sell purchase 48 ERDM La Renia's, that would require them to make £32 each.

I thought I was buying the dip a couple of weeks ago... I think it's best if I just try not to look for a while now 😂 see how they're doing in a few weeks when I log back in

Aye time to sit on you're hands & be patient. Hopefully if the company is as sound as you're research suggested, the SP will climb back up into profit at some point.

You’re so right Simon! On the other hand a certain German member living in Paris might be a little angry, I know he’s looking for a box since quite some time. Lol

We don't have a choice. Our hands are forced. The alternative is slow deterioration of money in the bank 🤷‍♂️
