Hi Gav, no such luck, didn't know anything about these companies back in Jan, when I opened my ISA account. My initial investments included: Eve, Lloyds, CCL, M&S, BP & Shell. Only have Shell left & that's 16% down now.

    I bought Boo @ 2.86, now
+13%, 4D Pharma @68p now +30%, SNG @2.04 +10%, Nex @2.39 now 1.29 - 38%!🤪 Should have sold when it dropped 20% but I really thought they'd pick up as people returned to work & colleges ect.

So I've just taken profit on SNG 500£. The only stock that's made me any decent profit.

      Where to next I wonder?

SAE now up 49% for me and rose 15% on opening this morning,

This is positive news (hence the jump) - https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk...ct-927229.html

I think if you come back in 18-months these will have been worth an investment.

Good call, shame I haven't got any cash left in my ISA to buy SAE. NEX is plunging even more, even topping up £6k wouldn't get me back to my avge price so I'll have to play if cool. Hope it picks up when travel gets back to a new normal.

Yeah they’ve taken a bettering from the £4 they were 6months ago. Think you’ll be OK in 12 months, just depends if you want to sit it out that long. Although bound to be better than the scraps the bank give you.

Yeah, gone down to far to sell & take the loss so I'll be patient, with the Government subsidies & foriegn contracts I am confident they will survive but think I'll need the patience of Job to see a profit, probably sell as break even. Mind you every thing is down today, even my shares in the black. August duldrums, I expect a pick up in Late Sept/Oct.

You're doing better than me Gav. I thought Banos had sold out of SNG too soon but hey, I could have sold & made a grand last week, back down to 320p this morning, that's the price before it shot up. Sure it will go up again but next time I think I'll take it, it could help bail out some of my other shares that are down. Even Boo is sliding again but August is always a crap month on the Markets..

Its running at 234p right now no? Which is pretty much where I sold out. My thinking was that SNG are entering a prolonged testing phase which will prove costly, no idea how long this may last, so i expect the share price to just sit for a while. And it had made enough profit to cover the trading costs (12£, 6£ buy and sell using Barclays) and I put the cash into centamin - which isnt going anywhere yet....

                      Anyone fancy betting on BT?

OMG what has happened to BT shares !!!

I worked for their retail division 4years ago and got TUPE’d out the company so had to take all my company benefit shares at £4.20. Not looked at them since and glad I move on.

They are primed for takeover at these prices apparently...

You’re betting on the takeover really though based on the individual components, could be a good bet but it’s definitely one for the long game. A takeover and then the opportunities that could bring are reasonably likely but it won’t turn fast other than a minor bump on the news.

Could be a good option but don’t expect to be taking your money out in a few years

Good luck Kern, keep us up to date how your venture goes.
Banos, good on you £500 cash is better than losing £400 in a morning's trading! Still it's only a loss if I sell so I'll be patient but I appreciate there are many possible hitches along the way but I think it has the to potential to reach £3 in the not so distant future....
