I now think of this thread every time I see the trailer for the return of Sam Mitchell to EastEnders on BBC at present. (Sorry US members. It's a popular sitcom here. They have a decent website if you want to look).

I also think of Wonderbra adverts.

Absolutely personally, I am not offended by these pictures but neither am I hugely stimulated because the pictures inhabit a weird mid-ground as far as I am concerned. They remind me of the images I might have got aroused over as a teenager. In a way, I'm relieved my late teen sons also find these pictures funny for the most part.

Again - absolutely personally - I like a bit more showing and a bit more going on in such pictures when my blood runs red, but that would not be appropriate at all for this site.

The picture I like least is the male. Maybe I'm a repressed homosexual? Well nothing has happened on that front in my adult life so maybe I'm just envious of the guy as I have man-boobs I can't shed?...

My feeling is that a thread like this is quite alright - and sometimes very funny - if it is marked NSFW. I consider it harmless rather than harmful.

But maybe just now and again, eh?...

It would be interesting to hear if anyone is genuinely offended rather than to hear from people who THINK other people might be offended. (No offence to the empathetic there).

I have to say the sight of male torsos in our secretaries' offices in Firemen's Calendars makes me feel sick. It's not an anti-gay thing. I just can't explain it. I think it's because males are less pinned-up than women.

So then I wonder what it feels like for a woman to see female pin-ups all over the place.
