  • Sting 'Fill Her Up'. Ignore the video, it's not the actual video.

Starts off all cheesy country. But about 3 mins in completely changes, in some kind of double ephinany, which is quite dramatic, very strange, but I can't help but love it.

                      • Lion taming at the Roundhouse

If you missed the compilation of John Martyn at the BBC last night on BBC 4 or if you missed John Martyn (which so many did and will come to regret) here is a great compilation which every music lover should enjoy.

He was a phenomenon in som many ways and this taster will remind me what I will miss following his death recently.

Compilation of folk singer-songwriter John Martyn's performances from the BBC archives.

Also about half way down the page at this site is a review I wrote of the big man playing in London (Lion Taming at the Roundhouse)

Official website of the maverick singer and songwriter

                        I'm off to listen again.
                        Nic

                            • I saw John Martyn a number of times at The Stables in Milton Keynes a few years back before his accident, even then despite being heavily 'medicated' so to speak, it was easy to see why you were watching a musical legend.
                              He will be greatly missed.
