      Hello,

Have not really gone much into the music purchasing stakes recently. Have a fairly decent collection of classical chillout cds. Tad boring I know. One of my favourite contemporary pianists would be the Italian Ludovico Einaudi. Like also groups like IL Divo, Blake, soloists Mathew Ansell, Cortes, etc.

New version of the A Ha track the sun never shines on Ireland, as opposed to the sun never shines on Tv.

Tipping it down here at the mo.

I love Allison Krauss with her own band, Wild, but haven't heard the thing with Plant.

Isn't it always raining in Ireland, Em?
It is in SE Kent, too.

Have just got home from London and enjoyed a solo smoke to The Bends.

Radiohead feature large in this household. My wife adores them, and particularly Thom Yorke who released a solo album about a year ago. She once saw them at the Royal Festival Hall in London and rushed to the front just in front of Thom Yorke. She held onto his trainer round his ankle for the whole of one song. She is a perve about him. If I were so inclined, I think I'd be after Ed O'Brien (sp?). Mind you, she pestered him - Ed - in a theatre bar when he was playing with Neil Finn from Crowded House at a gig. Neil Finn's first solo album Try Whistling This is so, so good.

My fave Radiohead albums are The Bends, Amnesiac and Hail To The Thief. I've never appreciated Kid A which sold shitloads over a decade ago.

I bought The Bends, so am really responsible for making my missus a Yorke perve.

As Gabriel has mentioned, the weather is taking the piss yet again, but then again I guess it's to be expected at this time of year

I'm just chilling out with a mini bucket of decaff and looking through the list of cigars available that Monte has put up in the For Sale section, there's definitely a few teasers there, but unfortunately I'll have to wait another couple of weeks yet, which really sucks

Hey, thanks for the plug Bryan. It's funny, I've actually had your CD in the player in my car since I got it. I love listening to recordings of live music.

Anyone else prefer live CDs to studio CDs of their favorite bands?
Business in the front. Party in the back.

I don't have any preferences as such, there are some songs I've heard where the studio recording has sounded much better, than it has live and vice versa, I think that it just depends on the song and the artist

I think you'd like it Bryan...didn't think Plant could do harmony-type singing, but he claimes Krauss taught him how to do it and their voices complement each other's beautifully imho. A real delightful surprise, and the choice of tracks is superb.

I may be downloading soon, I guess.

We have never recorded anything in a studio in our band. Every recording is live. Sometimes with mp3 mics (hence un-mixable). Sometimes through the desk with multi-channels. Our bass player has a very good home studio and in 2009 we will set up and record some stuff for a few days at his place. I can't wait.

You can hear glitches in live stuff, but as we are a live working band, those recordings reflect what we can/cannot do rather than studio trickery. The recordings certainly get us bookings, as do the videos on YouTube. They have brought in LOADS of enquiries and bookings.

                        Hi CoIV.
Just got it into my iPod. The first track sounds very promising - and very Verve-like, which is cool. I just walked down to the postbox to lob you the swap. Should be with you Saturday, my friend.
