Not to everyones taste I know but just finished listening to Tom Traubert's Blues by Tom Waits.
Possibly an acquired taste but another guy with some excellent lyrics in some of his stuff.

Still love his original "Hallelujah".
Just listened to "Joan of Arc". Awesome.
The man's a genius. So many amazing tracks.
