I can't believe nobody has mentioned this film http://www.onceuponatimeinamerica.net/index.html or Lucky Number Sleven, one of the best films to come out of Hollywood in years. Or how about Sexy Beast

Ooh, Das Boot - good shout.

Much like everybody else, it seems, I can't really pick one; so here are some of my favourites:

                    Zulu
Monty Python's Holy Grail/Meaning of Life/Life of Brian
                    Naked Gun 2 1/2
                    Battle of River Plate
A Bridge Too Far - what a cast!
                    Bridge on the River Kwai
                    Air America
                    Empire of the Sun
                    The Day After Tomorrow
                    The Cruel Sea

The Shining and 1408 are films I thought were very good too. Worth a special mention as they are from genres I usually can't stand...

I agree, but the book is so much better and is a complete factual account of Operation Market Garden, to the letter !
Its was an amazing huge logistical operation.

For those who haven't seen it, I HIGHLY recommend The Hangover. Watched it with the wife on a rainy Saturday afternoon and it is without doubt the funniest film I have seen this year - possibly ever!

It's been showing for a few weeks now so if you fancy it, don't wait too long.

                              Bruno on Wednesday I think.
