I know this is an old post.....

I used to swear by a twin blade Zino cutter but then misplaced it and started using a single blade freebie from CGars!! Even when I found the Zino again I stayed with the free one. Eventually, I moved to a punch cutter and haven't looked back to be honest. A single punch is fine for a smaller gauge such as a PC, 898 or even a Gorda but when I cut a cigar with 50+ I use either a shamrock or number 8 cut....the reason being some disgustingly foul 'juice' can collect round the hole if I only use a single hole ......subject to change as ever

I'd change my vote if I could.
I'm an 8-cut punch cutter convert.
Somehow it tastes better. I feel like I'm drinking my smoke.
I'll juggle with both - of course - but the punch cutter is my preference of late.

I like the clean cut of a punch, but something about a good blade cutter appeals to me more. I tried a Xikar the other day, and it's my top cutter so far. I'd like to try the Xikar folding scissors too.

BTW - I have used a razor blade myself in a pinch. But are you sure you are not using a "golf tee" as a cigar punch.

I use a punch most of the time and have never suffered an excess flow of juice on my NuB.

But that's just me, TJ, TJCoro, and I always use a punch, unless I use a cutter.

I tend to smoke Churchills, When using a punch (I assure you, its not a golf tee, though I am known to improvise depending on my level of drunkenness) by the time I have reached the last quarter there is some thick sticky black tar like gunk that collects at the hole, sometimes it can stain your lip if you are not careful and by looking at Stevieboys post, I'm not the only one.

You may have built a layer of this gunk on your lips that you no longer notice.

Out of all the cutters I have, including a Davidoff titanium, the one I use all the time is a Palio, a great cut every time.

I'm terrible with cutters keep loosing them or getting confiscated at the airport and they ask for a ransom to post them back. I lost me double blade cutter a few weeks back so only have a single blade cutter which can barely accommodate a churchill...so I'm back to using a trusty Wilkinson sword double edged razor blade, slices clean through.
