I put McKenzie's sublime tobacco into my watch list on eBay and getting it in the new year so thank you for the recommendation. I also really want to read more about Winston Churchill if anyone can recommend anything let me know, I have read "Churchill's cigar" and a book of quotes called "the wit and wisdom of Churchill" but I want to know more about the great man and not just about his smoking habits (although that was fascinating)

Why are you ploughing through Israel's history, even though you asked not to be asked?
I'm ploughing through the History of Israel as I have always found the subject historically fascinating although this particular work (in 2 volumes) as an academic study and not exactly easy reading. Nevertheless, I will plod on !

Chris Ryan, Bob Rigby (Andy McNab) 1991 both SAS Sergeants received MM's for a massive fuck up that got their buddies killed...then go on to make themselves rich by writing about it....
David 'Jack' Sillito 1942 a SAS Corporal was left stranded after an ambush & survived against all odds...& was given an honourable discharge...

Very good books the Nick Stone series. Won't try and pretend they're good 'literature', but as a page turner they hit the spot. Crisis Four (the second of the series) is one of my top three books of all time - again, not for the 'quality' of the writing, but just how enjoyable a read it was.

                        • They are a great series, really get your pulse racing and suck u in to the action/tension. If you like real world action try sniper one I couldn't put it down.

                            • Just finished Skagboys by Irvine Welsh. If you like Trainspotting (this is the prequel) and Porno this will be right up your street, his best book in years.
