maybe it would help if we were told what kind of costs were involved? I must admit I didnt think it cost a huge amount to run a forum based on what a friend who runs one has told me but I guess that depends on traffic or something else I Don't understand...

anyway if we were told look this forum costs ?200 a year to run or whatever it might encourage people to donate more? most of us dont really know the costs of these things.

On a personal note I donate every so often when I have some spare cash in PP account.

I have no idea how much this forum cost to run. But the forum I run costs $15 a month for hosting (US Based Shared Server).

If Deano has had to upgrade to a dedicated server, the costs are insane. They start from about ?100 a month

so is this forum moving to a dedicated server? Its not currently on one ..I know they cost a shed load but wouldnt think it was needed for a site like this?
