We also don't do the TV thing, and have not updated our TV so now it will only work with the DVD. Had cable, found that I have no resistance to stupid crap, and was not getting any work done. Thank god for Netflix - not sure if there is a UK alternative.

The Wire - simply amazing and way underrated.

Love TV and film. Got sky+HD and it is a great way to unwind for us. Completely respect those who abstain and know a few people that do.

I went years without a TV, and that was before I had a computer. I could go back to that in a heartbeat and, with Internet access, still have access to whatever I want to watch. Unfortunately, the family would veto that. In fact, I'm getting ready to drop several hundred dollars to replace our failing TV.

Ive only got a little tv, plus one builtinto my pc. I only watch things like Eastenders hahaha... some sci fi stuff like stargate and crime... Mostly the news is on in the background, anyway tv is for the dogs to watch..
