Pubs. What are they these smoke-free days?

Pubs (including my local) are only good on a nice warm day in the summer now a days...

Sitting outside in a decent beer garden with a fat one...

Winter....NO GO ZONE...

Ghost ships.
Wetherspoons.
Places with shit duos instead of shit bands.
Places where smokers huddle in cold entrances to ignore shit duos.
Places that charge ?4 for a pint of Coke.
Places where slot machines rush to make money because smokers have stayed at home.
Places where Susan Boyle (?) squeaked her first public tunes.
Places where bandsmen get trapped at the door when they're packing to leave by blind naked drunks.
Places where you can buy a toastie for a tenner.

But to me they are places where the whiff of the urinals has taken over from stale sanitising smoke in the carpets.

I find local pubs are depressing when they're empty and depressing when there are six people in them as the nights crowd.

I never go in my local any more. I used to go there with fine cigars. Now it's duos duos and I smoke home alone.

Does anyone still like them?
