I don't think anyone has mentioned these yet (maybe I'm just a bigger geek than anyone else here!) but there is Katee Sackhoff from the new Battlestar Galactica and of course Dirk Benedict from the original series, both of which play the character Starbuck. One of the lead characters who, while prone to drinking and sleeping around, is generally seen as a good guy.

There is also the new computer game Starcarft 2 (this game is huge in Korea, there are TV channels dedicated to watching matches in the first game), it came out a couple of months ago and has one fo the characters smoking a cigar on the cover. I think he's a pretty subversive character in the long haul though.

      Lovin' the link Styler.
      Good work.
Anyone who smokes a cigar in a spacesuit is pretty 'subversive' in my book.

I wonder what he does with it near the end though?
I mean. . . you either gotta: spit it out (and risk it melting a hole in your suit), or swallow it?

      (I'm over-analysing it aren't I?)

Well he has metal hands as per the below clip so I'd imagine he'd have no problem reaching in, grabbing it withouth the fear of burning himself. You could comke it right down without a toothpick as well!

My much bigger problem is that at the end of the clip he closes his viros with the cigar still in his mouth!

Who was that football agent who always had a Churchill in his gob? Came from Norf Lahndin if I remember correctly.......

Krusty the Clown... Good... possibly evil.

Do cartoon characters count? He's probably the world's most famous clown?

He is Eric Hall. He was once the plugger for Marc Bolan / T.Rex and helped transform him from an acoustic pixie to an Electric Warrior. Marc Bolan hated Eric Hall smoking cigars around him.

I believe Eric Hall later became a football promoter or manager.

For some reason I came to the page where someone asked the agent question, not the answer!

Too true, though given the extremely limited power of the governorship in California, I wonder if anyone could do a good job.

On the other hand, we Californians love our celebrity politicians! Maybe we should put Lindsay Lohan on the ballot? A train wreck of a celebrity for a train wreck of a state...
