Yep, coming along nicely. Stick with it & be firm, you will be smoking in it. If the day after they still find it slightly smoky, it'll be fine the next day.

So we enter test phase 1.... smoking in an enclosed space.
We had to clear the garage slightly for the HW cylinder to be fixed, which created quite an inviting space. With the air purifier cradled in my arms I dug out a camping chair and an ashtray & set up shop while the Mrs was out with the kids. Didn't want to wait for the purifier to start late so I set it on medium and lit up.

It did a really good job of clearing smoke, but as others have mentioned (and until you experience it for yourself you don't really understand it fully) the smell remains. It also remains the next day. And the next.
I thought incense would help, so lit a couple of sticks and let them smoulder while the purifier ran on for a few hours. I'd bought them previously to help check for drafts and forgot how bad they smelt. They didn't mask the smoke smell, they just mixed with it and almost made it worse. Tried air freshener, little effect. Found some Autoglym products (odour eliminator & air freshener) and although initially they seemed to work pretty well, they have had minimal impact long term.
I have ordered a toxin filter for the purifier in the hope it improves things

Even in my Winter Garden build the smell remains for a little while. Opening a door/window while you smoke will help but like you describe - incense (I have tried that too!), tobacco candles, air purifiers etc. help a bit but don’t get rid of it.
The main issue I think is airflow - so if you can - open as many vents/windows/doors during and afterwards to let the fresh air do its thing. A strong scented candle can help a little with this too.. but again.. it just masks it a little. It still does beat getting wet and cold out in the garden!!Last edited by BullittBoy; Yesterday, 09:41 AM.“Life’s too short to drink bad wine or smoke poor cigars”

I ordered an Ozone machine to test out. I had been eyeing one up previously as my dad's car had some milk spilt in it (sold now) & no amount of wet extraction got rid of it.
I can confirm it has got rid of the smoke smell, but a heavy metallic smell has replaced it. No windows in the room so have to have the roller door open to try & air it out with a floor fan. I think it's already better than when it first got done so time will tell how long it takes to dissipate. At least I'm getting an idea of how much extraction I'll need in the new cabin when it goes in
