  • Simon Bolivar's Interesting Ol' Timers List

So today, I celebrated my 10,000 post on UKCF! I joined Jan 2010 & wondered how many of the original members that joined between the group being formed by Deano (all hail the Chief!), in 07/08 to the end of 2010, are still regular posters?

I found 20 that have posted within the last 6 months listed in chronological order:
Deano, Stevieboy, CohibaIV, RichB, NicWing RIP, 2009 CJ121, Handlebarpipe, Ryan. HabanosSy, bigbarneyhotdog, SmokeyMo, Mackem Keith, Joeray, 2010 Simon Bolivar, Lads2000, Happy, Puffofwind, RobustoClubHabanos, Nevcross, 7kingsguy & Lesbantam.

So I'd like to thank those, as well as those more recent regular posting members, who keep this club running. Without posters we would surely disappear into the Internet either.

My motto as a Medic was learnt from Voltare, who declared that the physicians art is to amuse the patient, while the body heals itself. I tried to inform & amuse in equal measure on what can be pretty dry subjects, Inductions, First Aid presentations, they had had repeatedly over the years.

And so I have tried similar here. I have learnt a lot & hopefully passed a little of the knowledge I have accrued over the years & sometimes managed to amuse too 😅

My Cuban Cigar Encyclopedia is on on going project, which I have copied onto the blog page, and will continued to be added too. I am having great trouble uploading pic's from my 6k library from an external hard drive onto my laptop & then onto this site. I am hunting for my old laptop in the loft, which allowed this & then I'll carry on with Juan Lopez.

My celebratory smoke, 2003 RGDC, from even before I joined Club Havana.

Congratulations on the 10k Simon. The value of your input will educate generations to come. Hope to meet you some day but given my inexperience with Cubans I would have nothing of any significance to offer.. Would however be very interested in your genuine thoughts on one or two of my current favourites

Well done, Simon! Your generosity on line in sharing your knowedge is matched by your generosity in person in sharing your cigars, to say nothing of the standards you set in your singular attire...Roll on the next 10k!
