If you take the time to search you'll easily find the multiple places showing how it works.

"Most definitely. The EPA and Homeland Security have tested the Bio-Wall and on a single pass, it killed 93% of anthrax surrogate, 99.97% of spore-producing bacteria and 99% of a common hospital virus."

"UV-C lamps, which provide UV light on the C-bandwidth) are best for dealing with mold problems, as other types of UV light don't damage the mold enough.

UV-C lamps have been used in hospitals for years in order to kill and control germs and mold, according to American Air"

hope that's enough to show that UV light does alter the DNA of mold and therefore kill it off.
Or to at least allow you to admit there's a possibility of it.

I find wiping the mold off to be simpler than using UV lights to be honest. Maybe I should get a life or a Bio-Wall? Hmmmm, I need to think on my choices.

I blame the cigars, nearly as demanding as a woman. Now, what was this thread about again?

Most of that is taken from sales pitches for Phillips & GE lamps, & out of context, but thanks to Ozwas for mentioning the Yank Biowall, the claims for that are astonishing. I still think the synchroton radiator might work on a spot of damp.. but hey! what would I know...

IMNSHO, visible light will not kill mould. Shorter UV wavelengths will, but I certainly wouldn't want to be using that on my cigars. If it damages bacteria and viruses, then I would suggest it would do the same to your cigars.
