Ok , I'll admit it; I smoke Gauloises hand-rolling (strong stuff; most "cigar-like" 'baccy to me). I'm also quite partial to the dark blend auld kendal.

One thing I can't stand however is "packet fags" (marlboro, silk cut etc etc)

I have a theory that these things are way worse for you than roll-ups (additional chemicals added to enhance addictive properties I imagine)

Then again, I'm under no illusion that hand-rolling isn't really bad for you!

"Remember, commander, no cigars before launch." a Cuban doctor's orders to an astronaut at Cape Canaveral

I tried ciggies years ago and promptly coughed up both lungs, took that as a sign. Wasn't too fussed on the taste of packet ones either.

Played around with a little weed back in the day too, good fun for a bit until you realise that it's just like getting drunk only doesn't last as long and costs more (especially in munchies shortly afterwards). The efficient engineer in me thought that was the wrong way to go about things so stopped that. Makes you talk more crap than beer too.
Lo there do I see my Father. Lo there do I see my Mother, and my Sisters and my Brothers. Lo there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning. Lo they do call to me. They bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.
