I had one of the fundadores today.
Lovely looking stick and in perfect condition.
Draw was as good as a long stick allows and the smell was spot on.
After lighting, I noticed the smell of the smoke was just fabulous, the taste was sweet and mellow with no harshness at all. The stick was a medium plus at the start and got stronger and stronger and I felt it got pretty close to the full bodied level.
By the time I was getting near the end, I felt my head getting light and my legs were a bit wonky.
Very good smoke with lots of different tastes all through the stick, Stronger than the reviews that I have seen but no hype with this one, it really is awesome.
Leaf at the end was all excellent and I could see why it smoked so well.
Good stick for the newbie and all the way to the expert smoker.
The question I asked was - Is it a big long Trini Reye.
Answer - Yes it is.
I give this to the Fundadore Eleven still to smoke.
Great smokes! and so are the Robusto Extra (Disc 2012!) we did a split on a box of these last year and they are very good, 07's - still have 2 left... must get some more!

Surely you have this the wrong way around. The Fundadores was out yrs before the Reyes, so the Reyes could be described as short Fundadores. But although I can see the similarity between the RASCC & the RAG, I don't see the same link with the Reyes & the Fundadores personally. I find the latter a richer & more rewarding smoke, that the Reyes never gets close too, even though it is a classy smoke in it's own right.
