Reyes do seem to need a few years, coloniales that I have had were best young, the honey seems to fade after a year or so, though I do want to see how 5+ years effects them

Your post seems to contradict itself? Why do they need a few years if they were best young.
Personally i am not convinced about ageing modern trinis. It is a fairly soft profile and like you they seem to loose something after a couple of years, but are great off the shelf.
