I was down in Edinburgh for The Fringe and had my usual visit to lovely folks at Robert Graham on The Royal Mile where I picked up 13 of these wee stunners

These are so full of flavour for such a wee cigar. Biscuity, shortbread, sweet. Great afternoon or pre-prandial treat.....nothing like the regular, every-day LFdC range at all

I think they're pretty hard to find now but treat yourself if you see them....

Agreed! Excellent sticks - smooth, buttery, delicious. One of the few cigars I've found which seem to love white wine... Go figure.

I have two left, so I am very much envious.

(PS. Anything you'd recommend at the Fringe this year - I'm popping up at some time before it finishes to catch a few things and catch up with friends - including our very own daniel2001. Currently Simon Evans is the only thing I have locked in... though I have promised many friends in the business that I'd show up since my own one-off gig has been cancelled. ).

Hey Simon. I've gone down the last two weekends and watched:

Stephen K Amos (excellent)
Faulty Towers (sore stomach...from laughing, not the food!)
Gyles Brandreth (hilariously indiscreet)
Tim Vine (a solid hour of belly laughs....only go if bad puns are your thing)
Tubular Bells for Two (quite stunning to see. One of my favourite albums so I was pretty much guaranteed to enjoy it)

Ah, Dan's not performing, I'm merely taking the opportunity to catch up with an old friend I haven't seen for a while... I'm now trying to imagine what Dan would be like on a stage...

Thanks for the tips, I shall add a couple of those to the list - definitely Tubular Bells for Two (which I foolishly skipped last year in favour of food...). Gyles Brandreth is a really top chap, and incredibly entertaining. He was very helpful and supportive when I was putting together my charity show for this year's Fringe (now sadly by the wayside for various reasons). I would highly recommend Simon Evans, if you're able to squeeze one more trip in this year.

Enjoy the cigars... I'm still slightly envious. Haha. Though my own trip to Robert Graham whilst I'm in situ should ease my pain...

Me on a stage.... Wouldn't go well. Quite happy presenting a project plan to a room full of VP's (who all earn much more than me), but standing on a stage not so much.

Both Robert Graham shops in Edinburgh are really good, the Rose Street one is a two minute wall from my office, so usually go to that one. Occasionally pop into the Cigar Box on the Royal Mile as I walk past it on the way to and from work - not as wide a selection as Robert Graham, but well thought out.

If payday doesn't fall on a Friday, I usually drop in to the Rose Street Store and get myself a payday treat, then stop off at the Hotel Du Vin (also on my way home) for a Mojito and a smoke.
