Ah very nice. I am about half way down. Agree the flavour lies in the leather/wood/earth section on the flavour wheel. Occasional slight sweetness but no pepper.
Perfect burn with no relights so far. I think switching back to cutting from punching has helped reduce relights and improved flavour in general.
I think if it had been a blind tasting the first words out of my mouth would have been non-Cuban
EDIT: Its getting better the further down I get....

Oh Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy! These look and smell great. Don't know if you can see in the pic but they even have little pony tails!
Plus a couple of hitchhikers, Thanks PeeJay you sure are a swell guy!
Need to put some expanding foam in a random hole I found in the wall fitting the kitchen then will spark one up and keep you all posted!"Gentlemen, you may smoke."

Not sure I would recognise this last half as non-Cuban. Burn still perfect which is impressive seeing as it went from post office to being lit in just a couple of hours

Same quality different flavours but you can sure as hell bet they took Cuban seed stock with them so there's bound to be similarities in the profile.Originally posted by Wigan View PostYeah I know but the same guys cant make the same product if they have different raw material to work with?'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction'

There is for sure. Like I said the last half might have fooled me. I don't know if someone more educated cigar wise would have been. I concentrate more on enjoying than getting too technical about it. It has been a good smoke. Glad you got them, thanks again. Would hope to a buy a box in the future but don't know when as plenty more I would probably give a higher priority to. Should bear in mind they are of a similar price as Trinidad Coloniales 5.2" 44RG and I can see me buying many more boxes of them over the years as opposed to just a single box of these. Worth a try and would still recommend though.
