I can't handle that much nicotine. Just one after lunch. It might be my birthday but it doesn't give me the right to do what I want with it apparently!

    • They look very nice indeed. Have you had the Opus X in the past? I?ve got a box of Anejo?s and curious how good the Opus X is given the cost uplift?

Yes I've had a few, as with all cigars there is no 'better' there is only different tastes. Opus X have a unique flavour which doesn't suit all palates. The Anejos have a good rep, a lot of smokers actually think the Don Carlos Special Reserve are better than the Opus. Its all up to the idividial smoker.

My understanding is the Opus is quite a bit more peppery than the Anejo?s? Very true that it?s all subjective so I guess there?s only one way to really find out - smoke one!

          • Opus X Lost City double robustos

My little collection of Opus X was enhanced today by the arrival of this box. Like expensive Cubans they tend to come in expensive large boxes so it was a pleasure to find a ten box for sale. Especially as the seller let it go for $210 when the retail cost is $295

                      • I don’t really smoke NC but you have to give credit to the presentation. I don’t know how they smoke but they sure look the part PeeJay, great addition.

You may be thinking why these? This cigar is number five in Cigar Aficianado's top 25 this year. The Eye of the Shark is out of stock everywhere, I'm not a fan of the Padron at #2 and I've got the Oliva at #3 and the BBF at #4 so what the heck. I've already got several different boxes of ABs so I know what quality standard to expect. The flavour profile reads well and they gave it 94/100. This afternoon we will find out out why.

                          • Take away the fancy box, fancy wrapper and shoe and it does look a great stick! Hope it smokes as well. Eagerly anticipating...
