Binned it years ago. The processor did start playing up.
The same happened to my amp too and I also binned it but nostalgia got the better of me last year and I went hunting on eBay for a replacement!
I also bought a replacement set of speakers and the matching CD player that I couldn't afford back in the day
I tracked down all the service manuals.... just in case!

It is indeed an 80s Akai. The M313 that I bought from my mum's Kays catalogue in 1986 for the huge sum of £550 that I paid up at something like £5 per week

It caught my eye because I had one, with turntable and twin tape decks. So good for mix tapes and recording NYE radio shows. Happy days...
