No, I don't really see the point. I use my V cutter with a conventional cap like today's smoke.Originally posted by grumpybaldy View PostThat makes sense, although I have read some people favour a V-cutter with a piramide; have you tried that?'Cigars are a hobby, cigarettes an addiction'

Have just learned that the BBF, although by all accounts a fine cigar and one that I'm expecting great things of, will not be my first piramide as I thought - apparently it's a 'campana' vitola!
Since I've set this hare running, what would people who know recommend for a (genuine!) first piramide? Party P2, MC2, Diplomaticos 2?
(Starting to worry I'm taking all this a bit too seriously now - but what the hell!)

a 'proper cigar'
Hi GrumpyBaldy. The HUpmann no.2 is also worth trying. The Diplomaticos no.2 fresh/ right now is said to be very good, mine are from a while ago and also good. Monte 2 is superb, especially with a few years.
There's a mini case/humidor that was released by Habanos which has 5 pirimide cigars in, well worth tracking down. It has the RyJ Belicosos Cohiba Pirimide, Monte, Partagas & Hoyo. I, like you and PeeJay am a massive fan of the format.Last edited by smokey joe; 13-11-2016, 09:08 PM.

I'm starting to come around to agree with that. You have lots of control, and as Grumpy says, they look the business.Originally posted by PeeJay View PostMy favourite vitola as you have more control over how much you cut from the cap
I regret I've yet to get my mitts on a BBF but I really like the Vegueros Mana?ita.
